Questions pet parents ask
How are hosts verified?+
Every host verifies their mobile number and a government ID, uploads a video tour of their home, and is reviewed by our team before their listing goes live.
Who provides my pet's food?+
You choose. Some hosts ask you to send your pet's food, some provide it (packaged or home-cooked, veg or non-veg), and many let you pick. We also tell you upfront if a home is vegetarian.
When is the host paid?+
Your payment is held safely by PawsStay and released to the host only 48 hours after you pick your pet up — so if anything goes wrong, you have time to tell us.
What if I need to cancel?+
Cancel 72+ hours before drop-off for a full refund, 24–72 hours for 50%. If a host cancels, you always get 100% back.
What vaccinations does my pet need?+
Anti-rabies must be valid for the whole stay. For dogs we also recommend DHPPi (9-in-1), and FVRCP (Tricat) for cats. Upload the vaccination card in your pet's profile.
What if my pet falls ill during the stay?+
Hosts can send an emergency alert in the app, which notifies you instantly, and see the nearest 24×7 vet. Your emergency contact and your pet's regular vet are shared with the host once you book.
